我在批改學生托福寫作和托福聽力作業時，最擔心看到篇幅過長的 Toefl 聽力筆記，也就是逐字記錄每一句話，而不是專注於抓取重點資訊。這樣的托福準備方法往往會適得其反，影響托福考試表現。


這樣的筆記方式有幾個問題：

  1. 內容變成流水帳，導致考試時難以快速找到關鍵資訊。

  2. 容易因為記錄過程跟不上錄音速度，而錯失重要內容。

  3. 反映出對聽力內容缺乏真正的理解，才會依賴逐字抄寫。


托福聽力理解力用高效筆記法提升

  1. 使用模板架構：將閱讀內容和聽力筆記分開記錄，例如左右分欄，讓閱讀的重點幫助理解Toefl 聽力內容。

  2. 掌握筆記要點：筆記應該清楚記錄 Main Idea，並透過 indention 來區分 Supporting Details。

    • 很多考生會堅持寫完一整句 再往下聽，但這樣容易錯過新資訊。正確的做法是：當意識到 speaker 已經進入新話題時，即使筆記未完成，也要立即跟上，確保不錯過後續關鍵內容。

    • 托福準備過程中，必須養成根據筆記來答題，而不是依靠模糊的印象或個人推測。如果不確定答案，應該回頭檢視筆記，找到與選項對應的關鍵內容。

  2. 避免「補充資訊」，選擇題目內的正確答案

    • Toefl 聽力選項陷阱 常常讓考生誤以為某個選項「聽起來很合理」，但實際上，如果選項中的資訊 沒有在聽力內容中提到，就一定是錯的。

    • General Rule of Thumb：當你開始為一個選項補充背景資訊或想像合理性時，這個選項就很可能是錯的！ 這時候應該回頭比對其他選項，找出與題目內容最匹配的答案。
